NOTICE OF MEETING

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REFUGIO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that on the 27th  day of August, 2026 the Refugio Independent School District Board of Trustees will hold a meeting at 5:30 PM in the Administration Building – Distance Learning Center located at 212 W. Vance Street, Refugio, Texas. The subjects to be discussed are listed on the agenda that is attached to and made a part of this notice.

If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the Board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Government Code, Chapter 551, Subchapters D and E or Texas Government Code section 418.183(f).  Before any closed meeting is convened, the presiding officer will publicly identify the section or sections of the Act authorizing the closed meeting.  All final votes, actions, or decisions will be taken in open meeting.  [See BEC (LEGAL)]

551.0785                 Deliberate the medical records or psychiatric records of an individual applicant for a benefit from a public insurance, health, or retirement plan or a matter that includes a consideration of the information in  the medical or psychiatric records of an individual applicant for a benefit from the plan.

551.082                   Deliberate in a case involving discipline of a public school child, or in a case in which a complaint or charge is brought against a District employee by another employee and the complaint or charge directly  results in the need for a hearing.
