Description:
Durotech was approved by the board on February 9, 2026 as the Construction Manager At Risk
(CMAR) and a contract has been executed between the parties. - To maintain the overall project schedule, multiple bid packages will be issued as drawings and specifications become available, allowing construction activities to commence on-site at the earliest opportunity. -Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Early Site Package No. 1 includes only mass grading, underground utilities, and site detention work; all remaining scope associated with the new high school will be procured under future bid packages and presented to the Board at a later date. - In compliance with Texas procurement requirements, Durotech publicly advertised the project on April 24, 2026, making all drawings, specifications, and issued addenda available to contractors at that time, and received bids from qualified contractors on May 15, 2026. -Durotech received bids from multiple site utility contractors for GMP Early Site Package No. 1, including Franco Utility Services, Deanco Construction, and Joslin Construction, and evaluated and scored each subcontractor proposal to determine the best overall value for the project. -Durotech thoroughly evaluated and reviewed all submitted bids and ultimately negotiated a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of $26,125,415 with Deanco Construction for the Early Site Package No. 1, with the GMP coming in under the initial cost estimate. -The costs for this work will be funded by the proceeds of bond sales from the 2025 Bond Election. |
