Description:
Items appearing on the Consent Agenda are routine in nature and may be dealt with using a single motion, second and affirmative vote. 13)b. Calling of School Board Elections
Description:
May 2, 2020 is election day. Two, 3 year terms on the School Board are up for election, they are currently held by Jamey Childress and Mary Lingle.

13)c. Designate Early, Regular, and Temporary Voting Places
Description:
Polling sites need to be set. Early voting will be Monday, April 20- Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from 8:00-4:00, at Big Sandy ISD Business Office. Election day is Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 7:00-7:00 at Big Sandy ISD, foyer of new gym.  No temporary sites are needed.

13)d. Appoint Election Judge, Early Voting Clerks and Early Voting Ballot Board
Description:
Mary Troboy and Karen Weese will be early voting clerks, getting things ready for elections and mailing out ballots to those requesting to vote by mail, the mailing address is PO Box 598, Big Sandy, Texas 75755. It has not been decided who will be election day judges and clerks.

13)e. Agreement with City for Joint Elections
Description:
Early voting and election day will be at Big Sandy ISD.  At this time we do not have a joint elections agreement to approve.  My recommendation is to allow the superintendent to approve such an agreement with the City of Big Sandy if needed.

Description:
At this time we do not have an agreement for renting equipment.  My recommendation is for the board to designate the superintendent to enter into an agreement for the rental equipment.

Description:
This project would be completed in Summer 2020.  Our current system software is obsolete.  This new system will allow for a more efficient operation of the system, with the ability to operate each individual thermostat remotely, instead of by zones.  This will save money over time.

Description:
All staff has seen and had the opportunity to respond.  Only one suggestion for change came back for consideration and the change was made.  Double days have been removed, with strong anticipation of District of Innovation status for 2020-2021.
