Description:
May 6, 2017 is election day. Two, 3 year terms on the School Board are up for election, they are currently held by Mary Lingle and Jamey Childress

Description:
Polling sites need to be set. Early voting will be Monday, April 24-Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 8:00-4:00 in the business office. Election day is Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 7:00-7:00 in the foyer of the new gym. No temporary sites are needed. Recommendation is to designate sites as presented. Possible motion: "I move the board approve the polling sites for early voting and election day for the May 6, 2017 election as presented" A second is required.

Description:
Mary Troboy and Karen Weese will be early voting clerks, the mailing address is PO Box 598, Big Sandy, Texas 75755. The judges and clerks for election day have not been chosen at this time. Recommendation is to designate workers as presented. Possible motion: "I move the board appoint Mary Troboy and Karen Weese as early voting clerks and delegate the superintendent to appoint judges and clerks for election day." A second is required.

Description:
On election day voting will be in HS gym foyer. Early voting will be here in the business office. At this time we do not have a joint elections agreement to approve. My recommendation is to allow the superintendent to approve such an agreement with the City of Big Sandy if needed. Possible motion: I move the board designate the superintendent to enter into an agreement with the City of Big Sandy for joint elections if needed." A second is required.

Description:
At this time we do not have an agreement for renting equipment. My recommendation is for the board to designate the superintendent to enter into an agreement for the rental of elections equipment. Possible motion: "I move the board designate the superintendent the ability to enter into an agreement for elections equipment with Upshur County." A second is required.
