II.A. 502: Search of Student Lockers, Desks, Personal Possessions, and Student’s Person
Description:
-MSBA changes reviewed and approved by Cindy Amoroso.
Last reviewed 9/2014. (Do students receive a copy of Policy 502 when using a locker? Yes, it is in the school handbook materials. In addition to policy review, each school reminds students as situations arise that lockers are school property and can be searched by staff.)

II.B. 526: Hazing Prohibition
Description:
-MSBA changes reviewed and approved by Cindy Amoroso. Last reviewed 10/2015 and these changes were not included in the last revision.
(Responses from the secondary: They review the handbook with the students in large setting. Staff, who varies by location, goes over these specific areas and other areas of the handbook and highlight information in classes or other smaller settings. Some sites also highlight areas in the announcements. Students are asked to review it with their parents. Parents then sign a letter of acknowledgement. Sites said they abide by the polices and follow recommendations for intervention by the student handbook.)
