Description:

8.B. Hear the Leading Indicator Process (LIP) report.
Description:
The Leading Indicator Process for the Weatherford ISD is reported to the Board to reflect progress toward the accomplishment of the five Strategic Goals in the WISD 2013-2018 Strategic Plan. The data reported for each Strategic Goal are “In-Process” or “Predictive” measures as defined in each Strategic Action Plan. The tracking of these indicators allows the administration to initiate “Mid-Course Corrections” or interventions to the improvement efforts outlined in Strategic Action Plans that are not achieving the desired results.

Description:
The Weatherford ISD District Educational Improvement Council met for the first meeting of the 2018-2019 school year.

11.A. Consider revision to Board policy FFAC(LOCAL) on second reading.
Description:
New rules from the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) regarding unassigned epinephrine injectors went into effect on August 1, 2018. The injectors are for use with anyone who might experience an anaphylactic allergic reaction. As a result, District policy FFAC(LOCAL) must be updated.

12.A. Conduct public hearing on Weatherford ISD's FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) rating for 2016-2017.
Description:
In 2001, the Texas Legislature created a financial accountability rating system titled School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas). The purpose of this rating is to provide information about the District’s financial management practices. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is required to review audited financial reports and assign a financial rating based on criteria represented in each indicator.

12.B. Consider commitment of fund balance by application of GASB 54 standards.
Description:
The Governmental Accounting Standards Board adopted Statement No. 54 (GASB 54) which became effective with the 2010-11 fiscal year. This standard applies to governmental fund balance reporting and governmental fund type definitions.

12.C. Consider Ikard Elementary School utility easement agreement.
Description:
As part of the City of Weatherford’s commitment to continual improvements to its water system, the City is planning to construct a Reclaimed Water Pipeline to Lake Weatherford to supplement the City’s water supply. The City of Weatherford is requesting a utility easement agreement for the construction and maintenance of a portion of the reclaimed water line on the property of Ikard Elementary School.

12.D. Consider a new baseball and softball complex at Weatherford High School.
Description:
Administration has worked with Huckabee Architects to develop a proposal to add new baseball and softball competition fields at the Weatherford High School campus.
