2.g. Review and Consider 2025-2026 Cross Plains ISD Compensation Plan.
Description:
Going by the most recent templates, we expect our state and local revenue to increase by $650,000.
$407,000 is required to be used for teacher raises, support staff raises, and school safety requirements. This leaves us with approximately $243,000 in discretionary spending. We have created three options for the comp plan. Option 1- State required raises, plus local funds to give all hourly support staff a minimum of a $1000 raise. This uses $49,401 of the $243,000. This reduces the discretionary increase to $193,599. Option 2- In addition to option 1, this option gives a $1000 raise to employees that are not teachers and are not hourly employees. It also increases the total salary for those on extended contracts, allowing them to have the same daily rate as a 10-month employee. This includes principals, nurse, safety and tech director, etc. This uses $68,000 of the $243,000. This reduces the discretionary increase to $175,000. Option 3- Eliminates the clean your own room stipend that currency cost the district about $32,000. Everything else is the same as option 2. This option uses $36,000 of the $243,000. This reduces the discretionary increase to $207,000. The updated compensation plan does have some increases to stipends to stay competitive with neighboring districts. It has the addition of stipends for licensed CDL drivers, school guardians/marshals, instructional technology, campus perms, and instructional coach. Some of these new stipends are funded by grants that were previously being spent differently, such as contracts with region 14. |
