BA#2223-18 Discussion and possible action to approve the General Operating Fund (199) budget amendment in the amount of $105,000 for the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) 2022-2023 repurposing of one box truck for band programs to increase the amounts for a box truck, two vans, and purchase of 1 F-250 with gooseneck or 2 midsize trucks at Division of Operations contingent on the approval the of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) 2022-2023 repurposing agenda item.

5. Discussion and possible action to approve the recommendation or selection for the following bids, proposals, or qualifications. Purchases shall be made from appropriations in the adopted/amended budget.

REGULAR AGENDA

10. Discussion and possible action on the following budget amendments.

• 10A. BA #2223-20 Discussion and possible action to approve the General Operating Fund (199) budget amendment in the amount of $6,731,565 from Other Committed Fund Balance for the September 29, 2022, Special Call Meeting approved projects as per Texas Tax Code 26.042(e).

• 10B. BA #2223-21 Discussion and possible action to approve the General Operating Fund (199) budget amendment in the amount of $24,033 as a result of transfers between functional expenditure categories from the Board of Trustees discretionary funds.
• 10C. BA #2223-22 Discussion and possible action to approve the General Operating Fund (199) budget amendment in the amount of $12,000 for the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) 2022-2023 repurposing of Nixon High School saw-cut concrete and installation of conduit for data connectivity at the main guard shack, and district-wide installation of wrought iron fence at various locations to fund 1 trailer for culinary arts at Nixon High School contingent upon the approval the of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) 2022-2023 repurposing agenda item.

11. Discussion and possible action to approve funding repurposing in the amount of $12,000 for the 2022-2023 (CIP) Capital Improvement Projects. 

12. Discussion and possible action to extend current RFP 21-030 Sanitation Services on a month-to-month basis until a new RFP is awarded.

13. Discussion and possible action to approve a daily per diem for staff as per assigned school business projects.

14. Discussion and possible action to approve the Memorandum of Understanding with United Independent School District regarding administrative costs-sharing for the Webb County School Lands.

15. Discussion and possible action to approve the request of additional FTE's for the 2022-2023 school year (For a 2-year period under the ESSER II Grant):

• 25 FTE's - Special Education Teacher Assistants (SA01/187 days) -$548,000.
• 25 FTE's- Special Education Teacher Assistants (SA02/187 days)- $570,850.
• 2 FTE's - Special Education Self Contained Unit Teachers (TE01/187 days) - $141,656.
• 1 FTE Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (PA03/207 days)- $70,540.                                                                                         

16. Discussion and possible action regarding potential or contemplated litigation including discussion with legal counsel.  Possible Closed Session Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071.
