3. Hearing: Public Hearing on the Proposed 2026-2027 Budget and Proposed Tax Rate

Description:
According to state law, the Board must give public notice and hold a public hearing on the proposed 2026-2027 budget. Having followed all legal timelines, the Board should now allow any citizen attending the public meeting to give input on the proposed budget. No action is required on this agenda item.

4. Public Comment:
Description:
Audience participation at a Board meeting is limited to the portion
of the meeting designated to receive public comment in accordance with this policy. At all other times during a Board meeting, the audience shall not enter into discussion or debate on matters being considered by the Board, unless requested by the presiding officer. At all other Board meetings, public comment shall be limited to items on the agenda posted with notice of the meeting. Individuals who wish to participate during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment shall sign up with the presiding officer or designee before the meeting begins as specified in the Board’s procedures on public comment and shall indicate the agenda item or topic on which they wish to address the Board. Public comment shall occur at the beginning of the meeting. Except as permitted by this policy and the Board’s procedures on public comment, an individual’s comments to the Board shall not exceed two(2) minutes per meeting. Specific factual information or recitation of existing policy may be furnished in response to inquiries, but the Board shall not deliberate or decide regarding any subject that is not included on the agenda posted with notice of the meeting. |

Release and Auction of Bus 731, Year Model 2001 — due to the age of the bus and the number of issues it currently has, it would not be in the best interest of the District to continue putting money into repairs.

11. Action Item: Consideration of Approval of Designated Officer/Employee (DOE) Resolution

Description:
Districts are statutorily required to set a designated officer or employee (DOE) to facilitate TNT calculations and to re-adopt when there are personnel changes. At Queen City historically the Business Manager has served as the DOE.

12. Action Item: Approval of Funds Spent with Symmetry.

13. Action Item: Amend F51 for emergency purchase of Balastic Shields
Presenter:

Description:
In order to make an emergency purchase for Balistic Sheilds, it is necessary to amend F52 for $19500.00 and transfer funds from F51.

14. Action Item: Consideration of contract for Lawn Care and Maintenance of ISD grounds.
Description:
Mr. Kennedy attempted to collect multiple bids for lawn maintenance. He only received one, from Benson Lawn Care. There are still a few questions regarding the bid. Dr. Nichols will have the information available at the meeting.

15. Action Item: Consideration of Current Year final budget amendments—General Operating, Debt Service, and Food Service

Description:
Amendments will be made to the 2025-2026 budget to ensure that the functions are adequately budgeted for this school year. This approval will also allow the budget to be modified in revenue and expenditure categories without changing the budget. The recommended amendments are attached for General Operating, Food Service and Debt Service. The final recap of this amendment will be emailed to the board before the meeting.

16. Action Item: Adopt 2026-2027 Budget for General Operating, Debt Service, and Food Service.

The proposed budgets for General Operating and Debt Service are provided. The Food Service proposed budget will be emailed as soon as possible. There have been no significant changes since the budgets were proposed/discussed at the last meeting.

17. Action Item: Adopt a resolution to set the tax rates for Maintenance and Operations and Debt Service.
