Description:   Board, please be prepared to discuss one statement or item from chapter 17 that stood out to you and how it pertains to the good of the order.  Since this is the last chapter of the book what outtakes would you like to incorporate in your board work, and perhaps discuss during board coaching.

Description:  The Board of Education provides a public listening session for the public to comment on any item related to the governance or management of the WCSD.  A copy of Board Policy 187 - Public Participation at Board Meetings is attached for your reference. Each commenter will be allowed 3 minutes.  An hour will be allowed for this item

Description:  Members of the WTA will provide an update to the Board from the Teachers.

Description:  Abigail Anderson and Alena Wagoner are the student representatives from the high school and will be present to report to the Board on what is occurring at the high school.

Description:  This section is reserved for any comments from members of the board on meetings they attended or other informational items.

Description:  The facility committee is recommending approval 3-0 of increasing the budget from $1 million to $1.25 million to complete the attached projects. The committee requested information on whether a 1-year snow plowing contract is an option. 

Description:  Please review documents for each elementary school in advance of the meeting.  A full presentation will not take place at the regular board meeting.  5-12 administrators will be present if you have any questions.

Description:  4K Director Miranda Moe provided the most recent data spreadsheet regarding 4K.  The in school 4K has started off great. Board members are welcome to stop by to check them out.

Description:  Attached please find information from WASB on  as well as the Fall Regional meetings.  If you are interested in attending the Regional Meeting for region 12 on Oct. 28th, please let Rebecca know no later than October 12th.  

Description:  Attached in the "extras" section of BoardBook, please find a list of the accounts payable payments issued during the month of August.

Description:  Attached you will find the Budget Status report as of August 31, 2026 and the Cash Reconciliation report for July. 

Description:  The purpose of this agenda item is to request approval of Fund 21 student activity accounts. A report is attached from the district financial system listing the student activity accounts by building, along with the ending account balance on June 30, 2026. The School Board policy on student activity accounts requires an annual School Board review and approval of student activity accounts. Student activity accounts by School Board policy are managed by Building Principals/Administrators.

These accounts are typically used by student organizations for fundraising for activities above and beyond what the district budget is able to support. Student activity account equity balances carry over from one fiscal year to another. Please note that student activity equity accounts with a positive balance are reflected with a negative sign (in red), as student activity equity accounts are balance sheet accounts on the district financial system. A positive balance actually indicates a negative account balance. Negative account balances are allowed by policy under certain circumstances. 

As of the end of August, many of the clubs/organizations/departments have corrected their negative accounts. These are shown in the 2026-27 school year.

Description:  The purpose of this agenda item is to request School Board approval of the fund balance allocations. Please recall that during the month of June, the School Board approved fund balance classifications to comply with national accounting standards. Attached please find the Annual Meeting Treasurer's Report, an all Funds fund balance report and a fund balance report detailing the accounting of the Fund 10 937900 and 938900 fund balance accounts.

The final 25-26 Fund 10 fund balance is $8,526,561.51 or 11.4% of the 26-27 Fund 10 expenditure budget approved in July by the School Board. The 11.4% compares to a number of 10.5% in 25-26. The Board policy on fund balance has a statement of working towards maintaining a balance of 10-15%.

The 25-26 fiscal year was the eighth year that funds were set aside for the replacement of the turf field for Warrior Stadium, and the sixth year when funds were set aside for the replacement of the turf field for Warrior Pitch. You can see the balance in the 937900 fund balance account. Please recall that School Board policy allows buildings/departments to carry over funds from one fiscal year to the next. You can see the balances in the 938900 fund balance account.

Description:  Attached please find the Seclusion and Restraint Report that the administration is required to report to the Board on an annual basis.  Tiffany Loken will be present at Monday's meeting to answer any questions related to this report/data.

Description:  The board needs to consider upcoming special meetings.
