9.f. Substitute pay rate
Description:
Due to increased hours that substitutes work and to allow Dew ISD to remain competitive with area districts, we recommend that the rate go to $100 per day for a certified substitute and $80 per day for a noncertified substitute and be retroactive to August 7, 2023.

9.g. Adopt a Resolution under CKC (LOCAL) i.e. SAFETY PROGRAM/RISK MANAGEMENT/EMERGENCY PLANS and Texas Government Code 551.079 and 551.089.
Description:
HB 3 would require Dew ISD to employ a full-time licensed security officer. This is not economically feasible, nor are there individuals interested in the position for what we would be able to pay them.
As Dew ISD already has a Guardian Plan in place, we fulfill the obligations of this law. |
