II.B. Travel Request: 
II.B.1) National Instructional Coaching Conference: Sean Williams, Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services, is requesting Board approval for two staff to attend the Teaching and Learning Coaching Conference in San Antonio, Texas, October 4-6, 2020. This supports the development of a countywide instructional coaching model. In addition to our Eaton RESA staff, Maple Valley, Charlotte and Grand Ledge will also have staff participate. Eaton RESA is covering the expenses for our staff as well as the registration and meals for the local district participants.
II.B.2) 2020 Symposium on LGBTQIA+ Youth: Kim Thalison, Prevention Services Supervisor, is requesting Board approval for a Prevention Specialist to attend the 2020 Symposium on LGBTQIA+ Youth in Miami, Florida April 19-22, 2020. As a grantee of the Center for Disease Control Department of Adolescent Sexual Health, it has been encouraged that we attend this conference with regional sexual health advisors from local school districts. Costs are covered by grant funds.
II.C. Dean Transportation Contract Renewal: The current special education transportation services contract with Dean Transportation expires on 6/30/2020. Tina Monroe, Executive Director of Finance & Operations, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute the proposed five-year contract renewal with Dean Transportation with annual increases of 2.75%, which local district Superintendents approved at the 2/20/2020 Round Table Meeting. 
II.D. Michigan Schools Energy Cooperative (MiSEC): The Michigan Schools Energy Cooperative (MiSEC) was organized in 1997 by MAISA, MASA, MSBO, and MASB as a way to manage gas and electric energy procurement for Michigan's education community. MiSEC will monitor utility costs of member districts and work directly with utility companies to resolve billing issues. MiSEC also offers multi-year lock-in options for gas supply costs. Tina Monroe, Executive Director of Finance and Operations is requesting that the Board approve the resolution for Eaton RESA to join MiSEC.
II.E. Deputy Superintendent Position: The Superintendent is requesting that the current Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services position be expanded to a Deputy Superintendent position based on the proposed job description. This structural change will increase integration and alignment across all instructional programs/services to maximize resources and improve collaboration around implementation of Eaton RESA's Strategic Plan to address the needs of our constituent districts. The Deputy Superintendent position will continue to provide leadership and supervision for currently assigned administrators and staff across early childhood, prevention and instructional service departments and expand coordination functions with other key cabinet level administrators. This position change would take effect on March 23, 2020, subject to Board approval.
II.F. Additional 1.0 FTE CI Paraprofessional: Ryan Harp, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting Board approval for an additional 1.0 FTE CI Paraprofessional for the Meadowview Severe Cognitive Impairment (SCI) classroom. Due to increased numbers of students with significant personal care and health needs, an additional paraprofessional is required.
II.G. New 2.0 FTE ASD Teachers and 4.0 FTE ASD Paraprofessionals: Ryan Harp, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting Board approval of 2.0 new FTE for ASD Teachers and 4.0 new FTE for ASD Paraprofessionals to implement two new ASD center-based programs for PreK-grade 3 students for the 2020-21 school year. The Special Education Funding Committee and local district Superintendents approved the addition of these new classrooms with an estimated operational cost of $327,406 annually.
II.H. Barry Eaton District Health Department Contract: Kim Thalison, Prevention Services Supervisor, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute the Prevention Services Agreement with Barry Eaton District Health Department for services provided through the Mid-State Health Network Contract amendment approved in February 2020. Services include data analysis, strategic planning, mental health services coordination, youth tobacco prevention, and supports to young families. The agreement is for $101,335 from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.
