Description:  This is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District's business and is not to be considered a public community meeting.

Description:  The meeting was noticed by way of publication in the Waterford Post on Thursday, August 18, 2022, and by posting in the District Office, at Entrance #19, and on the District's website. Minutes from the June 27, 2022 meeting were published in the Waterford Post on Thursday, July 28, 2022 and on the District's website.

5.B. Athletics Account - Digital Receipts
Description:  The Athletics Department would like to begin using a Square payments software device in order to begin accepting credit card payments for point-of-sale purchases. They anticipate using this digital payment system for purchases from Wally's Closet [spirit wear], concessions, and gate receipts. The creation of an account at Associated Bank is necessary to manage those digital receipts.

Description:  An overview of the seclusion and restraint data for the 2021-22 school year is attached. This report to the board is required each year.

6. Student Recognition
6.A. Graduation Requests (2)
Description:  Ehtan Montiho has completed coursework to meet the requirements for a 17 credit diploma. A letter from School Counselor Amy Wessel is attached requesting that the Board approve granting the student a diploma. 
In addition, Thomas Sullivan has completed the required coursework to earn his diploma as well. A letter from School Counselor Amy Meyer is attached.

7. Resident Comments
Description:  At this time the board would like to invite any member of the audience to stand with comments about items of interest or concern that do or do not appear on the agenda this evening. Please begin by stating your name and address. It would be appreciated if you would limit your comments to three minutes so that we can keep the meeting moving in a timely fashion and allow others an opportunity to speak. We ask that you remember that Wisconsin law prohibits us from discussing specific employees or their job performance. Thank you for your support of our school district.

8.A. Reopening Schools in the Fall
Presenter:  Dan Foster
Description:  The District will provide health information, resources, and action steps aligned to preparing for and implementing provisions in the upcoming school year.

8.B. Building and Grounds Report
Description:  Josh Wensing, Building and Grounds Director, will give a brief update on completed summer projects and the status of ongoing building maintenance and improvement projects.

8.C. Follow-Up Discussion of Post-Referendum Election Survey Results Relative to 10-Year Facility Plan
Description:  Nexxus Solutions has conducted a phone survey of district voters to learn why the previous referendum failed and is preparing to review voter turnout data.

A handful of small facility improvement projects that fell within the budget remaining at the 2021-22 fiscal year-end are underway. The board can discuss the next steps of the facility plan as it relates to a possible referendum question.

Description:  The District will hold its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Attached are draft copies of the agenda and resolutions for the meeting.
