Description:
During the 2011-12 school year, the Elementary English Language Arts Committee went through the curriculum renewal process. After reviewing current research and best practices, looking at recent district practices, and examining the new Common Core State Standards, the committee chose Treasures as their new elementary reading adoption. Teachers have received training from McGraw Hill trainers during the District Spring and Summer Inservice days and are fully implementing Treasures this school year. Teachers have been communicating and problem solving implementation issues as they come up and the district will continue to plan professional development opportunities to support Molalla’s dedicated teachers in this implementation year.
