VII.A. Maine, Thomas Jefferson, and G.D. Jones 95% Design and Budget Presentation (Action Requested)
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 20 Minutes
As referendum projects for each facility reach the end of the design phase (95% completion), the Board will see the designs and budget, and be asked to consider approval of these plans to be issued for bidding. Here 95% complete designs are being shared for Maine, Thomas Jefferson, and G.D. Jones Elementary and the Board is being asked to consider approval for use in soliciting competitive bids.

As the referendum funded facility improvements continue to develop, construction and budget updates will routinely be presented.

Description:

As referendum funded improvement plans develop for each facility, the Board will see updates when the designs reach 50% completion. Current plans for the Wausau West Athletic Field will be shared with the Board.

Wausau School District faces a projected 3.5 million dollar budget shortfall. Administration will present a staff reduction proposal that would allow for a balanced budget for the 2024-2025 school year.

Description:

Red Granite Charter School would like to request approval from the Board to expand the grades serviced from 4K - 2 to 4K - 3. This would create a multi-grade classroom for grades 2 and 3. This change would not require more space or staffing. |

Dr. Katie Colwell, Julie Schell, and Sarah Budney will share a brief presentation. The Elementary Science Standards have been revised with an emphasis on Phenomena and Science and Engineering practices K-12. The last Elementary Science resource adoption was in 2008.
