Approve February 2017 Personnel Report
Description:
That the Board of Education approve the February 2017 personnel report consisting of the retirement of Penny Defenbaugh as elementary secretary effective March 10, 2017; retirement of Berny Lucas as elementary instructional aide at the end of the 2016-17 school year; resignation of Candy Kramer as Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning effective June 30, 2017; and the hiring of Karen Giblin as elementary school secretary effective March 1, 2017.

Approve a resolution transferring $750,000 from the Transportation Fund of School District Number 107, Cook County, Illinois, to the Bond and Interest Fund for the payment of principal of and interest on the outstanding General Obligation Refunding School Bonds, Series 2016, of said School District and abating a portion of the taxes heretofore levied for the year 2016 to pay the debt service on said bonds.

Recommendation:
That the Board of Education approve a resolution transferring $750,000 from the Transportation Fund of School District Number 107, Cook County, Illinois, to the Bond and Interest Fund for the payment of principal of and interest on the outstanding General Obligation Refunding School Bonds, Series 2016, of said School District and abating a portion of the taxes heretofore levied for the year 2016 to pay the debt service on said bonds.

Review Governance and Planning (sec. 1) and 4:110 Transportation Board Policies (10 Minutes)
Description:
As it our practice, the Board of Education regularly reviews Board policy to ensure that our current policies reflect the realities of running a school district. There are no proposed changes to Governance and Planning (sec. 1) Board Policies at this time. Due to new law, a change in 4:110 Transportation Board policies is included in red. The policy will be on the March consent agenda for approval.
