II.A. Financial Reporting to the Committee
Description:
Amy will provide an update on the audit. Forecast 5 is still working to input our FY25 budget into their tracking system.

II.B. FY2026 Budget Calendar
Description:
The preliminary FY26 Budget Calendar has been attached for review - We will need to adjust the November, 2024 and August, 2025 dates to allow for the required 30 Day Notice of Public Hearing for the Levy and FY26 Budget.

II.C. Compliance with Excess Fund Accumulation Report - Public Act 103-0394
Description:
In accordance with Public Act 103-0394, school districts are now required to report out the fund balances in the Educational, Operations & Maintenance, and Transportation funds when they are in the process of budget approval. Following Committee approval, this document will be included as an information item in the October 10, 2024 Board meeting.

II.D. DIscussion of Transportation Extension with First Student
Description:
Amy will provide an update on the contact extension negotiations with First Student and the proposed renewal for a 4.25% increase for 2025-26 and 2026-27.

II.E. Update on LED Lighting Replacements
Description:
The District continues to explore the ComEd Program for LED retrofit work. ComEd Assessment Reports have been attached for each location showing a total anticipated cost savings of approximately $21,000/year. This work would begin in November and be at no cost to the school district.

II.F. Landscaping Proposals
Description:
Proposals have been provided for the purchase of plants/trees and installation services for the front of Ross/Sullivan and Grodsky. Following Committee approval, they will be brought to the Board for action at the October meeting. Planting has been tentatively scheduled to start on the 14th.
