6. Consider and approve inter-district transfer students for 2021-2022 school year.
Description:
Each year the initial list of students who have applied for transfer from other districts is presented to the Board for approval. Each student has been verified as meeting the criteria for approval. The administration recommends approval of the students listed.

7. Consider and approve authorizing the Superintendent to issue contracts to professional staff from June 11, 2021 to August 31, 2021
Description:
In order to speed up the hiring process and provide contracts for potential professional employees, the administration is requesting that the superintendent be given the authority to issue contracts until August 31, 2021. Normal hiring procedures will be resumed after that date.

8. Consideration and approve the submission of the annual low-attendance waiver.
Description:
School funding is based on the average of the daily attendance of the students. TEA allows a district to remove from the average a day that weather or sickness caused a drop of more than 10% from the average of the attendance the year before. The administration is seeking permission to apply for the waiver for any days that meet the criteria.

9. Consider approval of engagement of an auditing firm for the annual district audit, fiscal year 2020-2021
Description:
The district is required by law to submit to an annual audit and is, therefore, required to engage outside auditing services. During the month of May, the district issued a Request for Proposal to known auditing firms. The administration is recommending the firm of Brown, Graham, and Co. based in Amarillo for the 2020-2021 fiscal year audit.

10. Consider and approve the removal of Brock Cartwright, Teresa Justiss, and Angela Taylor from Education Credit Union account and the addition of Greg Brown, Amanda Johnson, and Annette Stanghellini to the same account.
Description:
The Claude ISD accounts at the Education Credit Union still reflect the names of previous staff members. The administration recommends that the names on the account be changed to reflect the current staff members.
