State law requires the board to review its investment policy and investment strategies not less than annually. check you CDA (Local) to be sure all provisions are still accurate. |
10.B. CDC (Local), Gifts and Solicitations
This local policy addresses unsolicited gifts and donations as well as gifts and donations solicited by the district or its employees and was issued at Update 107. For most districts, the policy indicates that authority is delegated to the superintendent to accept gifts and donations, except when the potential gift is real property or when the donor has made a gift conditional on a specific use by the district. For solicited gifts, such as online fundraising campaigns or platforms, an employee must receive approval before using the name or image of the district, a campus, or any student, and must comply with any district administrative regulations. Sample regulations can be found in the TASB Regulations Resource Manual, available in the Policy Service Resource Library on my TASB. If your district's current policy does not match current practice, please contact your policy consultant to revise this policy. |
