DISCUSSION ITEMS
Discussion:
Facility Update: Construction timelines have changed slightly. The new ERHS office will be pushed to a January 2024 move in date instead of the beginning of the school year. In turn, the gym finish date is likely to move ahead of schedule. We are within the 5 week window now for the push to start the school year. Contractors have started working weekends. Concrete parking lots are on schedule to be ready for the start of school.
Summer Update: Reports that there has been a lot happening since the transition into Central Office with staffing changes, new hires, interviews and building relationships. The elementary curriculum is already here which is great news and ahead of schedule from previous years. There will be more staffing recommendations, including the Lakeland Principal recommendation, likely to come to the board on August 7th. The administrative team has been looking at enrollment numbers. Summer school 2023 is complete and went well. In the next few weeks/months the superintendent and the board of education plans to identify goals together to move the district forward. |
