Our next Regular School Board Meeting is scheduled to be held on October 13th at 5:30pm.  October 13th is Columbus Day and we do not have school for students or staff.  Optional Dates: October 6th, or another weekday during the weeks of the 6th or 13th. I will be at the ESC Region 15 Superintendent Conference on October 20-22.

8.A. Consider action to approve the minutes from a Regular Meeting on August 11, 2025 and a Called Meeting on August 25, 2025.

8.B. Consider action to certify that Single Member Districts 2 and 7 school board member candidates are unopposed in the upcoming School Board Election to be held on November 4, 2025.

8.C. Consider action to cancel the BISD School Board Election on November 4, 2025, due to candidates running unopposed.

8.D. Consider action to revise the 2025-26 school calendar taking December 3, 2025 as a student holiday/staff workday due to BISD hosting Elementary and Junior High Academic UIL. 

8.E. Consider action to approve the 25-26 Bank Reconciliation Contract with Carolyn Carson.

8.F. Consider action to approve Board Policy EFB (Local). The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the District provides a wide range of library materials for students and faculty that support student achievement and present varying levels of difficulty, diversity of appeal, and a variety of points of view. This policy also provides standards for collection development and the selection and evaluation of library materials. 

8.G. SB 12: Parental Consent - Physical & Mental Health Services

8.H. Consider action to approve the 2025-26 Elementary and Secondary Campus Improvement Plans.

9.A. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 552.0821, deliberation and possible action regarding a matter involving a public school student which may reveal personally identifiable information about the student. 

9.B. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.074, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.

9.C. Ratify the resignations of employees that have been received by the Superintendent

9.D. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.076, deliberation and possible action regarding matters of school safety and security
