XII. Highland Park ISD applied for a four-year extension of its fiscal year 2015 indirect cost rate. The Texas Education Agency recently offered districts a one-time extension with a current federally negotiated indirect cost rate to extend the use of the indirect cost rate for its fiscal years 2016 through 2019. This will free our district of the task of applying for an indirect cost rate for this period of time and will allow us to use the indirect cost rate as necessary.
