2) Construction Update
Discussion:
Mr. Zordilla presented Project Update No. 8 highlighting the New Gym Vestibule, Lockerroom Masonry and Plumbing, Area A&G steel erection, Concession/Restroom Plumbing & Chase, Ag shop extension, Area K - Bus Canopy/Storage extension.
Member Duckett asked about exposed holes in steel piers. Francis presented the working color board highlighting colors and finishes that are to be in the new building and the renovation. The new gym corridor will be neutral white. Member Ivey brought up items concerning some drainage in the training room that is not being replaced. Plumbing was found where new copper plumbing is tied into existing copper plumbing. Mr. Zordilla explained that the existing one was used for the taps and that no comments were made between the subcontractor and the general contractor. The training room drain was mentioned as retaining water when washing machines and the whirlpool were both used. The drain in the boiler room was discussed and Mr. Zordilla informed the board that 80-85 percent was to be demolished. |
