Description:
Dr. Anthony Godfrey, Superintendent of Schools Mr. Scott Thomas, Administrator of Auxiliary Services Mr. Paul Bergera, Director, Transportation Review of potential start and end times for schools for the 2024-25 school year. Desired outcome: Board members will review and discuss proposed start and end times. |
1.B. Reporting Required by Utah Code 53G-6-11-1101
Description:
Mr. Brad Sorensen, Administrator of Schools Mr. Bryan Veazie, District Athletic Director - Title IX Athletics Coordinator Review of requirements in Utah Code 53G-6-11-1101 resulting from HB420 (2022) for Title IX reporting. Desired outcome: Information to Board members with direction to staff, if needed. |
1.C. Review of Board Policy GP118 Midterm Vacancies on the Board
Description:
Ms. Tracy Miller, Board President
Review and discussion on the policy governing the Board of Education if a vacancy occurs between elections.
Desired outcome: Board members will make any recommendations needed to update the policy to comply with Utah code and current practice. |

Review and discussion on the policy regarding employing an attorney to advise the Board of Education. Desired outcome: Board members will make any recommendations needed to update the policy to comply with Utah code and current practice |
1.E. Update on Legislative Session
Description:

Discussion on changes to Utah Code enacted in the 2024 legislative session that may require revisions to Jordan School District policy or practice. Desired outcome: Board members may make assignments and give staff direction for any necessary policy creation or revisions to comply with code changes. |
