IV. Public Comment - Agenda Items Only
Description:
This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District’s business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated in the agenda. Public comments should be limited to three minutes per speaker.

V. Closed Session
Description:
The specifics of this matter will be shared with the Board when we go into closed session. High School Principal Ann Fredrickson will present the facts of the case to the Board. After the hearing, the Board will return to open session and should, at that time, pass a motion with regard to this matter.
A school board may meet in a closed session under Section 8 (1)(b) of Michigan's Open Meetings Act to consider the dismissal, suspension, or disciplining of a student if the student or the student's parent or guardian requests a closed hearing. A school board may also meet in a closed session under Section 8(1)(h) of Michigan's Open Meetings Act to consider material exempt from discussion or disclosure by state or federal statute. |
