5.a. Superintendent's Report
Description:
There is a significant staff development expense this summer as 31 teachers will attend two days of literacy training for the Read Act in August. That cost will be $13,000, paying them at $210 per day. Our staff development revenue for FY 25 is $62,000 plus an additional amount of about $30,000, which must be used to teacher professional development and curriculum related to the Read Act.

7. Approve FY 25 Preliminary Budgets
Description:
The Revised FY 24 budgets were approved by the school board on April 15. The preliminary FY 25 budgets are attached. The superintendent recommends approving the FY 25 preliminary budgets.

8. Set Activity Fees, Admission Price, Lunch Prices
Description:
The superintendent recommends setting food service prices for the 2024-25 school year as follows:
Individual Entree Prices Posted Daily All 2nds must be paid for in cash
Lunch = $5.00* *Or the minimum amount set by MDE. Each year, on August 1, MDE sets a minimum price for adult meals. School Nutrition Programs funds may not subsidize meals served to adults. So, the meal price must cover the full cost of the meal. The calculation is based on the current year’s State and Federal reimbursement rates plus the national average per meal value of U.S. Department of Agriculture Foods. The 23-24 minimum price set by MDE was $2.25 for breakfast and $4.95 for lunch. |
9. Disolve Non-Certified Relations Committee and Appoint Non-Certified Negotiations Committee
Description:
The Minnesota Bureau of Mediation Services certified AFSCME of St. Cloud, MN as the exclusive representative for Cedar Mountain non-licensed employees excluding clerical office staff and supervisory employees. The superintendent recommends that the school board dissolve the Dissolve Non-Certified Relations Committee and Appoint a Non-certified Negotiations Committee.
