Discussion:
Board members Ms. Kelly, Ms. Lefferd, Mr. Mitchell, and Mr. Smith shared information from the KASB Annual Convention. They found the Convention to be very beneficial.

5.1. Receive Request for Singers and Dancers Trip to Bartlesville, OK

Discussion:
The Royal Valley Singers and Dancers have their National Dance Competition in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on January 17, 2026. The Board voted to approve this trip as an out-of-state trip. The costs associated with this trip are covered by charitable contributions from the PBPN and/or the Title VI grant.

Discussion:
Mr. Slay presented the grade level and district results for the 2025 Kansas Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies Assessments.

Discussion:
Mr. Davis reviewed the family participation longitudinal report for the October Parent-Teacher conferences.

5.5. Receive 1st Trimester Progress Monitoring Data Report
Discussion:
Mr. Slay presented the 1st trimester data on reading, math, social emotional screeners. He also presented attendance, grades, and office discipline referral data to the Board.

5.6. Receive Preliminary 2026-2027 District Calendar
Discussion:
Mr. Davis went over a draft of the 2026-2027 district calendar. The Board asked questions about the layout. This draft will next be presented to teachers for feedback.

5.7. Review Capital Outlay Spending Plan
Discussion:
Mr. Davis went over some spending plan ideas relating to capital outlay in order to make some decisions on the RVMS Science Room Renovations and the RVES Classroom/Hallway Renovations later in the meeting.
