II.D. Schools in the Spotlight
Rationale:
Kathy Waddington, Carol Sarkozy, James Janski and some fifth and sixth grade students from Wells Road Intermediate School will present Power Thinking through Animation. Fifth and sixth grade students from Wells Road will share how they synthesized their understanding of SCRATCH, a computer programming language, to animate science concepts, as well as, movie trailers for their Greek myths. The fifth grade projects were selected to be exhibited at the Legislative Office Building as part of the Connecticut Educator Computer Association’s Technology Expo on the morning of May 2, 2012.
