Discussion:
Mrs. Mordecai talked about the recent in-service that they attended regarding Dyslexia. Thanked the board for their time.

Miss Lawhorn shared the middle school is preparing for their Ameritowne field trip.

Student Council Representatives
Discussion:
Mr. Rose shared that he was approached by Mr. Thalheim and is asking the board to modify or amend the current mask mandate. They passed out a paper to the board members. Mr. Rose discussed the document and shared the signed petition. President Van Patten thanked the gentlemen for handling the matter in a productive and efficient manner.

Building Repairs
Discussion:
Mr. Tharman updated the board on the cleaning and repairs to the building and windows. He proceeded to share additional information with the board. Anderson Windows are to update their bid and get it to Mr. Tharman. He has been looking into grants and has submitted one already and working on a few others. Mrs. Hammond shared that Phillips County Economic Development had a revitalization grant. President Van Patten thanked Mr. Tharman for his stewardship.

Transportaion
Discussion:
Mr. Gebhard shared that a few weeks ago we were down three vehicles. Two had minor issues and one the transmission went out.. He also shared that Ford is discontinuing all of the transit vans. He is waiting to hear back from Rusty Eck Ford on a price.

Utility Bills
Discussion:
Mr. Tharman shared with the board about the utility bills. He shared that the totals we currently pay each month are Midwest Energy roughly $1,000; Prairie Land Electric $2,000; Symmetry $2,000. There is talk of extremely higher bills due to the cold snap that affected the lower states. Some schools in Kansas, have been told to expect a seven (7) to ten (10) times increase in their bills.

Mr. Gebhard shared that they just celebrated 100 days of school / Dr. Seuss /Jump Rope for Heart / 8th graders got 2nd place at WKLL Scholars Bowl meet / Thursday school play "Goldilocks on Trial" 7:00 p.m. / Junior High Music Concert was moved to April 14, 2021.
