Description:

4. Presentation: School Board Appreciation
Description:
January is School Board Appreciation Month and Queen City ISD is joining other districts across the state in gratefully acknowledging our board members' commitment to our community. At this time, the staff and students of our district will give special recognition and thanks to Mr. Dusty Wiley, Mr. Phillip Hamilton, Mrs. Jennifer Stringer, Rev. Jonathan Stanmore, Mr. Michael Henry, Mr. Andy Campbell and Mr. Michael Wise.

Description:
It is expected that the district will give a quarterly investment report. Mrs. Hawkins should be available to give the report and answer questions as needed. There is no action required for this item.

8. Action Item: Consideration of Budget Amendment for New Telephone System for the entire District.

Description:
This is a rough estimate. We will need to complete the process of analyzing the phone types and number of units per building.

9. Action Item: Consideration of Budget Amendment for New Flooring in the Administration Building.

Description:
The flooring of the Administration Building is beginning to show its age and needs to be replaced. Mrs. Upchurch has provided 2 bids and will have an additional bid available at the meeting.

10. Action Item: Consideration of Budget Amendment for New Hot Water Heater in High School Gymnasium.

Description:
The hot water heater at the high school gymnasium needs to be replaced. Mrs. Upchurch has included one bid, and will have others at the meeting Monday night.

11. Action Item: Consideration of Adopting a School Board Election Calendar and Call for a Joint Election with the City of Queen City/County of Cass.

Description:
It is time for the Board to adopt its School Board Election Calendar. This year's election will be on the first Saturday in May, which is May 7, 2022. A calendar of dates and events for the May 7, 2022 election for schools is included in your agenda. The City of Queen City and the County of Cass will be entered into a joint election this year, and Queen City ISD will join them, if necessary.
