6.A. 25% Hubbard ISD Due Process Hearing
Description:
$98,040.41- Total DPH cost
$24,510.11- 25% $17,833.91- Paid to Walsh, Gallegos, Trevino, Russo, PC by SSA $6,676.20- Due to Hubbard ISD Recommendation: After review and discussion, the board is advised to agree for the SSA to pay Hubbard ISD the remainder amount of $6. 676.20 out of the SSA's fund balance. |
6.B. HCSSA Agreement
Description:
~Remove all wording related to TEC 29.007
~Change the wording on 10.9 (a) to The SSA may (omit "will") contribute an amount not to exceed 25% of the legal fees, court costs and attorney fees necessary to defend the member district in a due process hearing. ~Add the following wording under #12 The SSA Management Board must be notified of a change to the configuration of the SSA by February 1 in order for the change to be effective the subsequent fiscal year (July 1 for federal funds). Written notification must be directed to SSA Management Board, and must include: if a member of the special education SSA is leaving the special education SSA and becoming a single member LEA or joining a different special education SSA; if an LEA is joining the special education SSA; if the existing fiscal agent of the special education SSA is leaving the special education SSA or changing roles from fiscal agent to member; or if an existing member of the special education SSA is changing roles from member to fiscal agent. ~Send wording to Walsh, Gallegos, Trevino, Russo, P.C. Legal team ad get a draft agreement written to review at next meeting. Recommendation- After review and discussion, the board is advised to accept proposed changes to the SSA Agreement and submit to Walsh, Gallegos, Trevino, Russo, P.C. legal team for a rough draft. |
