The Alexandria Township Board of Education recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of allowing members of the public to express themselves on school matters. Thus, the Board shall set aside two twenty minute periods for public comment each meeting.  In order to permit the fair and orderly expression of such comment, public participation shall be governed by the following rules:

1.  A participant must be recognized by the presiding officer and must preface comments by announcing his/her name, place of residence, and group affiliation, if appropriate.
2.  Each statement made by a participant shall be limited to 3 minutes in duration.
3.  No participant may speak on the same topic until all others who wish to speak on that topic have been heard.
4.  All statements shall be directed to the presiding officer; no participant may address Board members individually.

RESOLVED upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the following meeting minutes:

13.C. Travel and Related Expenses Reimbursed
RESOLVED upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the following list of requests for employee travel in accordance with the School District Accountability Act. Only overnight stays are eligible for meal reimbursement. Mileage, meals, and lodging reimbursements shall be in accordance with NJ Statute, Code, and NJ Department of Treasury Guidelines. OMB Mileage Reimbursement Rate is $0.35:

RESOLVED upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the following:

13.D.1) Motion to approve Nicole Spayd, Grade 7/8 Science Teacher, Step 9 - BA+15, at a salary of $71,500,  effective September 1, 2022 pending all required documents.

13.D.2) New Teacher Orientation
Motion to approve the following staff for New Teacher Orientation on August 22, 23, and 24, 2022 at a rate of $35 per hour, not to exceed 18 hours:
Nicole Spayd, Science Teacher
Jeanne Lippincott, Math Teacher

13.D.3) Curriculum Writing
Motion to approve the following staff for Curriculum Writing at a rate of $45 per hour through June 30, 2023:
Kasey Semanchik - 5 hours - PE
Terry Travis - additional 10 hours (20 hrs. total) - Instrumental Music

13.D.4) Elementary Report Card Revision
Motion to approve Tina Attanasio for Elementary Report Card Revision, up to 10 hours at $45 per hour.

13.D.5) Center for Collaborative Classroom Summer Institute
Motion to approve Tina Attanasio's attendance at the Center for Collaborative Classroom Virtual Annual Summer Institute, June 22-23, 2022.  Maximum of 8 hours per day, at the contractual rate of $35 per hour.  

13.D.6) The New Jersey Tiered System of Supports for Early Reading (NJTSS-ER)

13.E.1) Electronic Recycling
Resolved upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Alexandria Township Board of Education approve the recycling of old/outdated technology equipment. 

13.E.2) Bill Payment
Motion to authorize the Business Administrator to approve the payment of bills between board meetings pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18a:19-4.1. Such warrants shall be presented to the board at the next Regular Business Meeting for ratification.

13.E.3) Resolved upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board approve  Lenore Cortina, Ed.D., Ingenuity Academic Talent Center, LLC  for Gifted and Talented Consulting Services at a rate of $200 per hour. 

13.E.4)  Hunterdon County ESC Public School Services
Resolved upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board approve the attached Agreement with Hunterdon County ESC for Public School Services.

WHEREAS the "Open Public Meetings Act" (Chapter 231 Laws of 1975) authorizes a public body to exclude the public from that portion of a meeting at which specified topics are to be discussed under circumstances where the public consideration of such topics will clearly endanger the public or where the personal privacy or guaranteed rights of individuals whose activities or affairs are to be discussed would clearly in danger of unwarranted invasion; be it

RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Township of Alexandria now adjourns its public session to reconvene in Executive Session for the purpose of discussing the following:
