1. District Safety and Security Committee Meeting - this meeting of the District's Safety and Security Committee is to fulfill the requirements of Section 37.109 of the Texas Education Code.  Posting requirements are in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.  The Committee is composed of District staff, representatives of local law enforcement and emergency management, parent representatives, and two members of the Board of Trustees. The Committee will discuss the role and duties of the Committee (including updates under Senate Bill 11), the District's emergency operations plan and campus security, and will consult with local law enforcement personnel. The Committee may go into closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.  No decisions will be made in closed meeting.
