3. VISITOR COMMENTS
Description:
The school board meeting is a meeting in the public, not a public meeting. Nicollet School Board Policy provides that persons who wish to have a subject discussed at a public school board meeting are encouraged to notify the superintendent’s office in advance of the school board meeting. The school board chair will recognize one speaker at a time and will rule out of order other speakers who are not recognized, violations of data privacy, or inappropriate comments.

5. REPORTS AND PRESENTATION

5.a. Superintendent's Report
Description:
The calendar committee met February 22 and developed drafts for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school calendars. They will meet again on March 22 to review finalize the calendars. The calendars will be recommended to the school board at the April 12 meeting.
Sharon Peterson and I are working on the revised FY 23 and preliminary FY 24 budgets. I am planning to present these at the April 12 board meeting. An update of the legislative session will be presented at the meeting. |

Description:

7. ADOPT POLICY 606 TEXTBOOKS AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
Description:
The first reading of this policy was last December. The superintendent recommends approving Policy 606 Textbooks and Instructional Materials.

8. PURCHASE VAN
Description:
The superintendent recommends purchasing a2023 Chrysler Pacifica (RUFH53) Touring L AWD in the amount of approximately $45,500 less any applicable rebates. The school board approved the purchase of a van last September. However, the dealer has been unable to acquire the van from the manufacturer. Scot and Nick (transportation committee) acquired more quotes this week and are in agreement that we should purchase this vehicle. The quote is attached.

Description:
The superintendent recommends closing the meeting pursuant to MS 13D.05 to evaluate the superintendent.
