Mar put together some answers to the question about budgets being over.  I forgot to include it in last week's Friday letter.  Please call or email Mary if you have any further questions.

You will see the following programs appear over budget:

215 Business, and 301 Agriculture Ed– the curriculum cycle for this year included Business, Ag, and Technology.  The budget was set up in 211- Secondary General because I didn’t know how the expenditures would be split in the 3 program areas.  When the expenditures have come through, they have been placed in the correct program area so that it is accurately reflected in UFARS. You will see the program 255 eventually appear over budget as well for the same reason.

690 Technology – iPads were budgeted in programs 203 Elementary General and 211 Secondary General, but coded to program 690 per UFARS.

850 Capital Facilities – this is the spend down of the $300,000 committed fund balance that was set aside a few years ago for building construction.

870 – Building Construction – the budget for this is not entered in our financial system because it crosses over multiple years.  The budget was approved in November for this project, and includes both program codes 850 and 870.

219 Limited English Proficiency - this was time sheet submitted for last year.  We had LEP students last year.
