1. CALL TO ORDER

2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The School Board Chair will lead the school board and attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Board action to approve the agenda for the meeting is expected.

4. CONSENT ITEMS
Action is requested on the following items of the consent agenda. Consent agenda items are typically adopted without discussion of the individual items because they are routine or ordinary in action.  Any consent agenda item may be removed for further discussion and deliberation by any member of the board.

4.A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes from the Regular Board Meeting on July 13, 2026. Recommend approval of the minutes from the meeting.

4.B. RETIRED-REHIRED CONTRACTS
The following contract is being presented for a retire-rehire teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Recommendation to approve the contracts as presented.

4.B.2. ROCORI Secondary School Math Teacher - Paul DeMorett

5. ACTION

5.A. ROCORI CHILD CARE HANDBOOK 
The 2026-2027 ROCORI Child Care (Kid Care and Spartan Spot) Handbook is being presented for second and final reading. Recommendation to approve the handbook as presented. 

5.B. ROCORI K-12 STUDENT HANDBOOK
The 2026-2027 K-12 Student Handbook is being presented for second and final reading. Recommendation to approve the handbook as presented. 

5.C. ROCORI EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK
The 2026-2027 Employee Handbook is being presented for second and final reading. Recommendation to approve the handbook as presented. 

5.D. ROCORI ACTIVITIES HANDBOOK
The 2026-2027 Activities handbook is being presented for second and final reading. Recommendation to approve the handbook as presented. 

5.E. ROCORI PRESCHOOL HANDBOOK 
The 2026-2027 ROCORI Preschool handbook is being presented for second and final reading. Recommendation to approve the handbook as presented. 

5.F. Policy 625 - Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence
The following policy was discussed in the policy committee. It is being presented for second and final reading.  Recommendation to approve the policy as presented. 

5.G. DATE CHANGE FOR BOARD MEETING
There is a scheduling conflict for the board meetings on September 14 and 28th. .  Recommendation to approve having one September school board meeting on September 21, 2026 with a possible time change. 

5.H. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTATING BETWEEN EDUCATION MINNESOTA ROCORI AND ISD #750 REGARDING E-LEARNING DAYS
Recommendation to approve the MOU as presented. 

5.I. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE EDUCATION MINNESOTA ROCORI AND ISD #750 REGARDING EXTENDED YEAR CONTRACT FOR TEACHING POSITIONS
Recommendation:  Approve the MOU as presented

5.J. LONG TERM FACILITIES MAINTENANCE PLAN ASSESSMENT CONTRACTOR SELECTION
The School Board tabled this discussion at their last meeting until the full board was in attendance.  They will discuss how to proceed. 

5.K. POLICIES - ANNUAL REVIEWAL
The following policies are required to be approved annually. There have been no MSBA policy changes to these since they were reviewed/approved last year. 

5.K.1. Policy 506 - Student Discipline

5.L. POLICIES - MODEL POLICY TECHNICAL UPDATES
The following policies have been discussed in the policy committee and include the 2026 legislative session model policy technical updates. Recommendation: Approve the policies as presented.

5.L.1. Policy 425 — Staff Development and Mentoring
Update:  Art VI D to reflect the revision of Minn. Stat. 122A.70

5.L.2. Policy 624—Online Instruction
Update: Corrects statutory citation in Art. IV
 

5.M. POLICIES - MODEL POLICY SUBSTANTIVE UPDATES
The following policies have been discussed in the policy committee and include the 2025 legislative session model policy substantive updates. Recommendation: Approve the policies as presented.

5.M.1. Policy 402—Disability Nondiscrimination
Update: Adds reasonable accommodation process provision enacted by the 2026 Minnesota legislature

5.M.2. Policy 509—Open Enrollment Policy
Update: Aligns policy with open enrollment laws Minn. Stat 142D.08, Ch 260A and ch 260C; format revisions and reference updates are included. 

5.M.3. Policy 521-Student Disability Nondiscrimination
Update: Adds reasonable accommodation process provision enacted enacted by the 2026 Minnesota Legislature

5.M.4. Policy 524—Internet, Technology, and Cell Phone Acceptance Use and Safety
Update:  Add new statute regarding nudification enacted by the 2026 Minnesota Legislature

5.M.5. Policy 613—Graduation Requirements
Update: Adds high school diploma for veterans provision enacted by the 2026 Minnesota Legislature. 

5.M.6. Policy 709—Student Transportation Policy
Update:  Adds first aid kit requirements for buses enacted by the 2026 Minnesota legislature; adds "school bus" definition. 

5.M.7. Policy 721 Procurement Policy
Updates language and formatting to match MSBA model policy, without adding the optional revision. 

5.M.8. Policy 722—Public Data and Data Subject Requests (Also an ANNUAL Policy update)
Update:  Adds Safe at Home participant data protection provision enacted by the 2026 Minnesota Legislature. 

6. DISCUSSION ITEMS
Discussion items receive individual attention because of the nature of the issues and the need for introductory or other discussion in order to review the information prior to taking action.  This is also the agenda location for items which simply need school board review, but no formal action on the item is required.  Discussion items will typically return to the agenda at a future point for more specific action.

This policy was discussed by the policy committee.  No recommended changes at this time. 

6.B. JULY 13 CLOSED SESSION SUMMARY 
The School Board reviewed the evaluation of Superintendent Enerson. A brief summary will be provided. 

7. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS

7.A. SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
The Superintendent will make his report about ROCORI Public Schools.

8. COMMENTS AND REQUESTS FROM VISITORS
The agenda is open to visitors of the meeting to offer comments to and/or requests of the school board. The comments and requests should follow the adopted district guidelines which are printed and available at the meeting.  As a general rule, items introduced in the opportunity for comments and requests do not receive action from the School Board, but are taken under advisement or consideration for future action.
