8.j. Approve Agreement Extending Probationary Period - Jordyn Lucas, Special Education Teacher

Description:
A. A proposal by the District to ask a teacher to waive continuing contract rights and extend the probationary period shall be based on issues relative to evaluations, when possible.
B. Any agreement to waive continuing contract rights and extend the probationary period will be discussed with and proposed in writing to the affected teacher at a meeting at which the teacher has the right to Association representation. Following this meeting, the affected teacher and the Association representative will have at least five (5) days to consider and review the proposal before signing. C. Such agreement may not exceed one (1) school year, and will be subject to review with the affected teacher at least sixty (60) calendar days before the end of the waiver period. The teacher has the right to be represented at this review meeting. |
8.k. Approve 2025-2026 Service Agreement - Stellher Human Services, Inc., Mental Health Therapy

Description:
The District has need of mental health intervention and treatment services for children and adolescents who have an emotional disturbance or who are at-risk of developing emotional or behavioral disorders. The purpose of these services is to reduce the risk of onset of emotional and behavioral problems and to provide the appropriate treatment and follow-up services to children who already have an emotional disturbance. The POS agreement is funded mainly through the School Link Mental Health Grant which Stellher applies for and manages. The cost to the district is $24,000 of the total $108,097.86 which is an increase of $250 over last year's cost. |
8.l. Approve Annual Resolution - Identified Official with Authority (IOwA)

Description:
The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) requires that school districts annually designate an Identified Official with Authority to comply with the MNIT Enterprise Identity and Access Management Standard, which states that all user access rights to Minnesota state systems must be reviewed and recertified at least annually. The Identified Official with Authority will assign job duties and authorize external user’s access to MDE secure systems for their local education agency (LEA). The Board recommends authorizing Gregg Parks from June 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025 and recommends authorizing Ranae Seykora to act as the Identified Official with Authority (IOwA) for Nevis Public School District 0308-01 beginning July 1, 2025.

The 2025-2026 proposal for $114,004. The 2025-2026 represents an $11,541 increase over the 2024-2025 property and risk management premium.
Key changes: 1. Increasing cost per sq ft replacement from $350-$364 =+18% 2. 4% increase in property replacement value =+18% 3. General liability increase =+15% 4. Linebacker Liability Insurance (School Board, Admin, Special Ed) =+27% |
