III. ENTER CLOSED SESSION
Description:
"I move to adjourn to closed session under Sections 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) and 120/2(c)(2) of the Open Meetings Act to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees and collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. I move to adjourn to closed session under Section 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(8) to discuss school procedures, school safety and security, and the use of personnel and equipment to respond to an actual, a threatened, or a reasonably potential danger to the safety of employees, students, staff, the public, or public property. I also move to adjourn closed session under section 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) to discuss litigation, when action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting." IX. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Description:
Public participation is a time for community members and District employees to express a point of view, not to debate an issue. There will be a sign-up sheet for the public to identify their name, address, phone number, name of the organization represented (if any), and a brief description of the topic to be addressed. A District 50 administrative staff member will follow up with you within 48 hours of this meeting to determine if you would like to discuss the issue further. Comments are limited to 3 minutes for an overall maximum of one hour and/or a 20-minute-minimum total length for any one subject (See Board Policy 2:230).

XIV. FOIA REQUESTS
Description:
On June 15th, 2023 FOIA Officer, Mr. Sobiesk received from Katherine Smyser a request of settlement agreements, judgements or other court orders requiring to pay attorney fees, costs, and/or civil penalties in any FOIA lawsuits, all invoices, claims, studies, and reports referencing the cost of FOIA lawsuits or PAC reviews on an annual or other time-period basis. Mr. Sobiesk fulfilled this request on June 26th, 2023.
On June 20th, 2023 FOIA Officer, Mr. Sobiesk received from Michal Dwojak requesting all electronic correspondence between D50 Officials and the City of Harvard from February 1, 2023 to June 19, 2023 in regards to the turf fields at the Harvard High School Football stadium and Harvard Junior High soccer field. Michal Dwojak also requested all electronic correspondence between D50 Officials and ARC Design Resources from February 1, 2023 to June 19, 2023 as well as any contracts, proposals, and documents D50 has from ARC Design Resources Inc., Team REIL Inc., Midwest Sport and Track Surfaces Company. Mr. Sobiesk fulfilled this request on July 3rd, 2023. On July 5th, 2023 FOIA Officer, Mr. Sobiesk received from Michal Dwojak another request in regards to project number 22016, Harvard D50 Field Turf Football and Soccer Fields. Mr. Sobiesk fulfilled this request on July 12th, 2023. |
