VI.4. FY2027 USFR Guidance--A.R.S. §15-342(39) authorizes school district governing boards to provide food and beverages at district events, including trainings and other official school functions, subject to certain restrictions, including the Arizona gift clause and laws pertaining to travel and subsistence. The board may adopt a policy or resolution that identifies specific events or activities where food and beverages may be provided. The district’s policy must be detailed enough to eliminate any discretion by the superintendent, principal, or head teacher in carrying out the policy.

VI.9. Out of State Travel — Teacher, Mr. Elm, will travel San Diego (July 5-10) for the AP Summer Institute in order to be able to teach AP U.S. Government and Politics.
The College Board granted Mr. Elm a fellowship covering tuition, breakfasts & lunches. The cost to the District is room, mileage, and dinner reimbursements. Each day of the Institute consists of two sessions with supplemental materials provided, as well as the possibility of 2 graduate credits.

VI.10. Student Activities Fundraisers — The types of fund-raising activities authorized by the Governing Board are sales of food, sponsorship of contests or competitive activities (i.e. dance-a-thon, walk-a-thon, races), sales of logo imprinted products, sales of products to promote team or school spirit events. No raffles or games of chance.

VII.1. Superintendent Evaluation and FY2027 Goals-- The Board will approve evaluation updates and FY2027 Goals discussed in the Executive Session.

VII.2. ASBA 2026-2027 Delegate-- The Board will discuss and appoint a FY2027 Delegate.

VII.3. Policy DBJ — The Board will review Policy DBJ Budget Reconciliation and Transfers, discuss any needed changes, and then approve for FY2027.

VIII. PUBLIC COMMENTS
At the conclusion of the call to the public, Board members may respond to any criticism made by an individual who addressed the Board. Board members may also direct staff to review the concern or request the item be discussed at a future meeting. Board members may not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during this open call to the public. If you have submitted a Request to Speak form, the Board President will call upon you and ask that you please identify yourself by clearly stating for the record your name and address. Citizens are asked to restrict their comments to three (3) minutes. Groups wishing to speak should select a spokesperson to represent the view of the group. (Board President may refrain from reciting this section if no RTS forms have been submitted). |
