II. Public Comments for Items not on the Agenda
Description:
Please complete a "Request to Speak" Form and submit it to the Board President before the meeting is called to order. Your name will be called when it's your turn to speak. Citizens are asked to restrict their comments to three (3) minutes. Groups wishing to speak should select a spokesperson to represent the view of the group. Action taken as a result of public comments or requests regarding items that are not on the agenda will be limited to directing the staff to study the matter or to reschedule the matter for further consideration at a future Board Meeting. Board Members are permitted to respond to criticism from the public, but may not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during the open call to the public. If you wish to speak to an item on the agenda, the Board President will call upon you at the appropriate time. Before you begin to speak, please identify yourself by clearly stating for the record your name and address.

III. ACTION ITEMS - CONSENT
Specific information on routine vouchers and personnel will be available at the District Office 24 hours prior to Board Meetings. Please see Governing Board Secretary during regular office hours.

(All items listed hereunder are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Board member so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be discussed separately.)

IV. Executive Session
Description:
All persons present are hereby reminded that it is unlawful to disclose or otherwise divulge to any person who is not present, other than a current member of the Board, or pursuant to a specific statutory exception, anything that has transpired or has been discussed during this executive session. Failure to comply is a violation of A.R.S. § 38-431.03.

IV.1. Student Hearing- The Board may vote to go into an Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §15-843 (F) to determine whether grounds exist for Long-Term Suspension or Expulsion of a student and A.R.S. §38- 31.03(A)(2) to discuss student records exempt by law from public inspection.
|

IV.2. Legal Advice or Consultation- The Board may vote to call for an executive session pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3) to receive legal advice from the District’s attorney concerning the assignment of a District Theatre Tech Aide. The attorney will attend telephonically.
|
|
IV.3. Personnel Issue- The Board may vote to call for an executive session pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(1) to discuss the assignment of a Theatre Tech Aide. The employee will be given 24 hours’ notice in advance and has the right to demand that the session be held in public.
