II.2.3. Position Description - School Psychologist
Description:
The District recently received a grant through the AZ Dept. of Education to fund a 1.0 FTE School Psychologist for the next two school years. In recent years, school psychology services have been obtained on a contractual basis and, consequently, no position description exists. Administration is recommending approval of the attached position description supporting the hire of the position funded by the grant.

II.3. Intergovernmental Agreement(s)
Description:
The Board will consider approval of Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs).
|
|
II.3.1. IGA - MUHSD/CJESD Band Instruction
Description:
The Board will consider renewal of an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) to provide band instruction for students of Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary School District for one period daily on regular school days. Legal counsel has reviewed the IGA.
|
|
II.3.2. IGA - Forest Fee Management Association
Description:
The Board will consider renewal of an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the Forest Fee Management Association (FFMA).
|
|
II.4. Payment Procedures FY16
Description:
The Board will consider ratification of the two attached resolutions regarding payment procedures for fiscal year 2016, pursuant to A.R.S. 15-321 and 15-905-G. Administration is recommending approval of these resolutions as has been done in past years to support timely payments from MUHSD.

II.5. Out of State Travel

II.5.1. Girls Basketball - 10th Annual Summer Slam - Point Loma, California - June 19- 21, 2015
Description:
The girls basketball team is requesting approval to travel to Point Loma, California, June 18th-21st to participate in the 10th Annual Summer Slam Girls Varsity Team Camp.

II.5.2. Boys Basketball - 10th Annual Mens Basketball Team Camp - June 26-28, 2015
Description:
The boys basketball team is requesting approval to travel to Point Loma, California, June 26-28,2015 to participate in the 10th Annual Mens Basketball Team Camp.

II.6. Second Reading of Proposed Board Policy Changes in Section H - Meet and Confer
Description:
Administration is recommending the Board consider added language to Policy HA - Meet and Confer (currently there are no policies in Section H). The proposed Policy HA and Regulation HA-R directly mirror the documentation used for the Salary & Benefits Committee and related process used for the past two years. The Board discussed these proposed changes in a first reading at its April 28, 2015 meeting.

III. ACTION ITEMS - DISTRICT BUSINESS
|
|
III.1. Proposed FY16 Expenditure Budget
Description:
The Board will consider approval of the proposed expenditure budget for fiscal year 2015-2016. Mr. Waddle will present information about the proposed budget. Consistent with the requirements set forth in Arizona Revised Statutes, the Board needs to approve a proposed expenditure budget and then conduct a public hearing prior to adopting the budget on or before July 15th. Administration is planning to schedule the hearing and an item for budget adoption at the next Board meeting (scheduled for June 23rd).

III.2. 301 Performance Pay Plan
Description:
The Board will consider approval of the District's Performance Pay Plan pursuant to Proposition 301. The faculty vote yielded an approval rate of 82%. The changes recommended by the Faculty Council were mainly technical in nature.

III.3. Bond Election
Description:
On April 28, 2015, the Board called for a $5.99 million bond election for the November 2015 elections. The formal resolution is presented for Board ratification:
CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION ORDERING AND AUTHORIZING ALL MATTERS NECESSARY FOR A BOND ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 2015. IF THIS RESOLUTION IS SO ADOPTED, THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING ARGUMENTS WITH RESPECT TO IT IS AUGUST 7, 2015, AT 5:00 P.M. |
