4. Opportunity for Audience
Description:
Any citizen who would like to address the Board will be able to do so as the item on the regular agenda. Comments will be limited to 2 minutes per subject. If further time is needed, concerns should be addressed to the Superintendent. Personnel matters will not be discussed in a public meeting. Items that appear under the heading Routine and Regular Business will not be discussed or comments taken unless it is requested that they be removed from that category and placed on the regular agenda. 1) ExxonMobil - Team - Tyler Gusteson - Donation to $100,200.00 for Energy Pathways classrooms - incredibly appreciated to that. In Addition school supplies were also provided. Great Partners. Mike Hondrech - Value of Science, Engneering - future success. CMS equipping students with - skilled workforce. Grateful for collaborations.
7,043 - 7,181 - Enrollment as of 10th days - kinder enrollment is down about 99 students. Working on a 5 year projection. other surrounding districts also seeing a decline and also at the Kinder level. State down about 20,000 from last year. Chaundra Jarrett - Vacancies - 29.5 general ed and 13 sp.ed. reviewing class loads to make adjustments. Teacher licensure -NMPED allows 90 days from day of hire to receive their licensure. 43 new hires waiting to get their license. 19 long term subs. 24 teacher interns and 13 are acting as teacher of records some will graduate at December and 4 more in May. International Teacher Recruitement Program partnered with IAG - helps with licensure as well as citizenship. other districts also using same program. 2 sped. 1 bilingual and - approx 12, 000 per teacher. Positioned for All applicants have completed and will complete their application process. IAG - Recuitement and Placement, District Employment, Ongoing Support and Compliance. They require classes they must attend and pass. Investment of $60,000 respresnts. Most of our J1's were very successful. Cross cultural exchange program is required. Waiting on clearance and complete onboarding, housing and will monitor program and make a decision by Spring and can start to recruit for the next school year. (Ecuador and Phillipines. How many positions? high 485 or more. We have made great strides in recuiting and provide housing in coparions from 1029 we started with 89 long term subs. Carrie Boatwright - Proximity Teachers for our 3rd year. High Quality SpEd Services - compliance. Hard to fill positions - provide services. Proximity helps with on-site training for facilitators. Communicate with parents, IEP are completed timely. - N> licensed teachers, facilitator training and case management. - facilitating learning environment. and identifies issues. First two years - First Year (Launch) 2nd year (Refine) Year 3 (sustain). bringing back the teachers from previous years.
