Officers shall be elected by majority vote of the members present in accordance with Board Policy BDAA (Local) and Board Operating Guidelines Sec. 16.

9.B. Review the Leading Indicator Process (LIP) report.
Description:
The Leading Indicator Process for the Weatherford ISD is reported to the Board to reflect progress toward the accomplishment of the five Strategic Goals in the WISD 2013-2018 Strategic Plan. The data reported for each Strategic Goal are “In-Process” or “Predictive” measures as defined in each Strategic Action Plan. The tracking of these indicators allows the administration to initiate “Mid-Course Corrections” or interventions to the improvement efforts outlined in Strategic Action Plans that are not achieving the desired results.

Description:
Board Policy BDF(LEGAL) states that the School Health Advisory Council shall submit to the board, at least annually, a written report that includes information regarding the Council's recommendations, modifications, and activities.

Description:
The draft 2018-2019 Weatherford ISD Student Handbook is provided for Board review. This handbook follows the Model Student Handbook provided to Weatherford ISD by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to assist in communicating essential information to students and parents. The Model is based on provisions, legislation, and practices common to Texas schools and will be used by all Weatherford ISD campuses.

12.F. Consider Weatherford ISD Defender Program.
Description:
During the 2017-2018 school year, Administration, at the request of the Board of Trustees, researched various safety measures that would help provide an improved District safety plan for Weatherford ISD students and staff. The Board of Trustees held Town Hall meetings to gather input from students, staff, and community, and put forth a public report of the gathered survey data at the May 14, 2018 Board meeting. The Board of Trustees is being asked to consider a concealed carry program, known as the Defender Program.
