3.A. Discuss and Consider Action to Approve Contingent Out-of-State Travel for Gonzales High School Cheer to Participate in the 2027 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National High School Cheerleading Championship

Description:
Board approval is required for out-of-state student travel. Gonzales High School requests contingent approval for cheer to travel to Orlando, Florida, to participate in the 2027 Univeral Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National High School Cheerleading Championship should the team qualify through the UCA qualifying process. Early approval will allow participating families to secure lower airfare. The trip will require no financial support from Gonzales ISD.

3.C. Discuss and Consider Action to Adopt the 2026-27 Budget

Description:
No later than August 31st, the Board must legally adopt the annual budgets for the General Fund (Fund 199), the Food Service Fund (Fund 240), and the Debt Service Fund (Fund 599). Each of the three budgets must be adopted separately.

3.D. Discuss and Consider Action on the Ordinance to Set the Tax Rate for Tax Year 2026

Description:
The required notice was published in the newspaper on August 13, 2026.
The Tax Code requires the tax rate be set by an ordinance, resolution, or order. The ordinance must be read, and a record vote must be taken in the meeting minutes. |
