Description:
On behalf of the GISD Education Foundation, Board President Josh Gray, will be in attendance to recommend that the board of trustees consider action to accept the sum of $19, 844.66 to be used for future grant recipients as awarded according to GISD Education Foundation Grant Application Guidelines. Additionally, approval of amendments to include funds in the district budget as required.

The Texas Association of School Boards has provided the Gonzales ISD with Policy Update 121. Overview information concerning these proposed policy revisions was included in the following pages. Explanantory Notes, Instruction Sheet, and other materials are provided to the board to explain the changes that occurred during the Regular Legislative Session.

3.E. Discuss and Consider Action to Grant Authority to the Superintendent to contract with Gonzales County Election Administrator for the May 4, 2024 Elections.

Description:
May 4, 2024, is election day. The district will have 2 seats that will be running during this year's election, districts 4 and 7. Some of the advantages of contracting with the county would be the elimination of staffing shortages/Nepotism to candidates, finding and maintaining workers, back up clerks, training and most of all the integrity of the elections. The county has the up to date equipment and statewide reporting procedures.
(The Gonzales County commissioner's court established and appointed a County Election Administrator in November 2021.) |
