8. EXTENDED CONTINUITY OF LEARNING PLAN
As outlined in Public Act 149 of 2020, districts are required to create an extended COVID-19 learning plan for the 2020-21 academic year. Michigan legislature recently passed House Bills 5911, 5912, 5913 (2020) signed by Governor Whitmer on August 20, 2020.  Under the new law, in order to receive state aid for the 2020-2021 school year, the District must provide, for the 2020 2021 school year, instruction under an extended COVID-19 learning plan that is reauthorized monthly by the Board of Education.
