7. EXTENDED 2020 RETURN TO LEARN PLAN - EDUCATIONAL GOALS
As outlined in Public Act 149 of 2020, districts are required to create an extended COVID-19 learning plan for the 2020-21 academic year. Michigan legislature recently passed House Bills 5911, 5912, 5913 (2020) signed by Governor Whitmer on August 20, 2020.  Under the new law, in order to receive state aid for the 2020-2021 school year, the District must provide, for the 2020 2021 school year, instruction under an extended COVID-19 learning plan that is reauthorized monthly by the Board of Education.  Educational goals must be established by September 15, 2020.
8. 2019 BOND UPDATE
Mr. William Chatfield, Operations Director, will present on the progress and status of phase 1 of the 2019 Building, Infrastructure and Equity Bond construction that took place this summer and provide a review of the phase 2 projects. 
9. PERSONNEL RECOMMENDATIONS - TEACHER RECALLS
The Administration will recommend the recall of a current list of teachers who were laid off at the June 4 and June 18, 2020, Board meetings.
10. RESOLUTION:  SECTION 105 LIMITED SCHOOLS OF CHOICE
For many years, the Walled Lake Consolidated Schools has been open to Section 105 Schools of Choice under the State School Aid Act.  Under this section, a pupil may enroll from one Oakland County school district to another.  Each year a resolution and motion have been taken to the Board of Education to approve Schools of Choice.  It is the recommendation of the Administration that the Board of Education approve the following motion that identifies Walled Lake Consolidated Schools as a participant in Section 105 Limited Schools of Choice for the 2021-2022 school year.
