7. PERSONNEL RECOMMENDATIONS - TEACHER LAYOFFS
The Board of Education has determined that a reduction in teaching personnel for the 2020-2021 school year is necessary based on the projected staffing needs. As such, the layoff of personnel will be processed in accordance with Board policy and will become effective at the conclusion of the current school year, 2019-2020 on June 12, 2020.The employees affected by this resolution will be promptly notified.
8. RESOLUTION:  MHSAA MEMBERSHIP
The Board of Education hereby delegates to the Superintendent or his designee(s) the responsibility for the supervision and control of said activities, and hereby accepts the Constitution and By-Laws of said association and adopts as its own rules, regulations, and interpretations (as minimum standards), as published in the current Handbook as the governing code under which the said school(s) shall conduct its program of interscholastic athletics and agrees to primary enforcement of said rules, regulations, interpretations, and qualifications.  In addition, it is hereby agreed that schools which host or participate in the association’s meets and tournaments shall follow and enforce all tournament policies, procedures, and schedules.

This authorization shall be effective from August 1, 2020, and shall remain effective until July 31, 2021, during which the authorization may not be revoked. 
9. OAKLAND COUNTY REVENUE ENHANCEMENT MILLAGE DISCUSSION
10. BOARD POLICY REVIEW
The Board Policy Committee, Administration and Robert Lusk, Lusk Albertson, met and reviewed Walled Lake Schools Board Policy that is currently in place to ensure that the new proposed policies stated the intent of the Board. The new proposed policy manual including Administrative Regulations and Bylaws and Policies are provided for the Boards review with the anticipated adoption to be presented at a future meeting.
