III. If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551, Subchapters D & E or Texas Government Code section 418.183(f). Before any closed meeting is convened, the presiding officer will publicly identify the section(s) of the Act authorizing the closed meeting. Discussion will be limited to only items listed on the agenda. All final votes, action, or decisions will be taken in open meeting.

V. Discuss the findings of TEA Intruder Detection Audit:

VI. Provide information to the committee regarding the weekly audits of campus building access per board policy CSA (Local) and TEC 37.109.

VII. Provide notice to committee that the Texas School Safety Center approved the Bridge City ISD Multi-Hazard Emergency Operations Plan and the Reunification for Schools Annex on September 16, 2026.
|
|
VIII. Provide notice to the committee that on September 23, 2026, the Texas Education Agency adopted Rule 103.1217 to be effective on the adopted date, which requires a written security plan for all school extracurricular activities. Each plan has to include information pertaining to Adverse Weather, Communication, Crowd Control, Incident Command, Emergency Equipment, Evacuation, Security, Injuries, Patrons, a Risk Assessment and proper documentation.

IX. Provide notice to the committee that requests have been made to members of the Bridge City Police Department and Orange County Sheriff’s Office to continue making walk-through checks of each campus to increase law enforcement presence.

X. Discuss Psychological First Aid Training and ask for certificates of completion to be forwarded to the chair. TEC 37.108(f)(6)(C)(i).
