If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551, Subchapters D & E or Texas Government Code section 418.183(f). Statements made during public comment are the opinions of the speaker and not necessarily those of the Board or District staff. During public comment please refrain from yelling, using profanity, interrupting other speakers, making personal attacks on District employees, or engaging in other uncivil conduct. Speakers can be held liable for their statements.

XII.A. The open session of the meeting will adjourn. The Board of Trustees will convene in Closed Session to discuss matters concerning the following:

1. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 and 551.129, consultation with school attorney concerning pending litigation concerning a special education student and possible settlement of matter styled TEA Docket No. 213-SE-0325; SOAH Docket No. 701-25-15353 Everly E., b/n/f George and Lori E. v. Bridge City Independent School District (Before a Special Education Hearing Officer)
2. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Sections 551.0821, deliberation concerning a public-school student wherein personally identifiable information will necessarily be revealed.

The Board of Trustees will reconvene in open session for action, if any, to be taken on items discussed in closed session.
